CLIMATE AID, the Journal
OUR MISSION

To be the source of information and the

"CATALYST FOR CHANGE"

for 77% of Americans who say they want more information about solutions to climate change and  .  .  .

do something about it!

climate aid, the Journal:

The Renewable Nations Institute is bringing the CLIMATE AID, the JOURNAL, to communities, high schools, colleges, and universities across America.

The Journal will deliver timely information about the science of climate change, the risks and health impacts of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions on millions of Americans, and the degradation of our increasingly fragile environment.
An introductory issue of the JOURNAL in digital format will be released in the 4th Quarter of 2025.

Content for the JOURNAL (and companion curriculum) will be organized utilizing the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

the sustainable development goals:

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the 2030 Agenda, were formally adopted on September 25, 2015, at a UN Summit attended by over 150 heads of state. It includes the 17 SDGs supported by 169 specific targets.

The SDGs are among the most critical forces shaping our future. CLIMATE AID, the JOURNAL, will provide compelling content on how climate change and global warming --- and the EPA's proposal to rescind the 2009 Endangerment Finding and 30 associated rulings that regulate GHG emissions --- will impact human health and well-being, and the environment.

In partnership with higher education institutions (HEIs) across the U.S. and throughout the world, the Institute will offer an Award-Winning (see Congressional Award, below), peer-reviewed companion curriculum for students K-12, and with transferable college credits for undergraduate- and graduate-level students.

Academic courses (including AP courses for high school students), certificate programs, badges, and credentials across a broad range of subjects under the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will begin for U.S. students in the Spring semester of 2026, and Fall of 2026 for international students.
Students successfully completing badge- and certificate-bearing training programs will earn the designation of  United Nations Junior Ambassador  and/or United Nations Junior Fellow.

Why now?

After decades of progress --- the Clean Air Act of 1972, the establishment of the federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) by President Richard M. Nixon, and the U.S. Supreme Court upholding the 2009 Endangerment in a 2016 Ruling --- the Trump administration is now attempting to reverse course on public policies to reduce harmful GHG emissions.

The EPA has released a proposal to rescind the 2009 Endangerment Finding and the 30 Rulings that regulate GHGs ---
carbon dioxide (CO₂), methane (CH₄), nitrous oxide (N₂O), water vapor (H₂O), ozone (O₃), and various industrial gases like chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) --- that pollute our environment.

It cannot be overstated:
The repeal of the 2009 Endangerment Finding and GHG emissions regulations is "HIGHLY LIKELY" to accelerate irreversible climate change and adversely impact human health!

INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM OFFERINGS
Beginning in the Fall of 2006, CLIMATE AID will offer international training programs focused on the following international organizations and trade policies, as referenced below.

trump administration pressuring the international community:

President Trump signed an Executive Order on January 20, 2025, withdrawing the U.S. from the historic Paris Agreement and other international climate agreements, and is pressuring the United Nations International Energy Agency (IEA), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the United Nations International Maritime Organization (IMO) with tariffs if they continue to support international climate agreements that run afoul of President Donald Trump’s pro-fossil fuel agenda.
